WOW, what a find. I LOVE Granny Square Afghans and this one is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! not stretched out or mis shapen, colors are awesome and I fell in LOVE WITH IT. Got it today at the thrift store for $3.00. Couldn't pass it up. I went in looking for wool but came home with an afghan instead. :) And couldn't be happier with my find. As you can see our cat likes it too. And it is on a queen size bed. HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

I love vintage crocheted afghans! I have one on my family room couch... perfect for curling up in when we watch tv in the evenings.
What a terrrific, colorful afghan....I sure remember my Mom and aunts making tons of those in the 60's & 70's.

great find. Makes me kinda queezy because I let 1 of my g'mas go because I have soooooo many. I know some wonderful person found it like you found yours and was blessed.

Just gorgeous! I have one that my grandmother made me. They are so warm and toasty.
what a bittersweet find... knowing someone worked so hard - and the colors are placed so perfectly, everything about the afghan seems to be perfectly planned... dang. . you ARE lucky! ..oh, and the maker is lucky to find such an appreciative buyer... i think one would only hope that our quilt-y gifts would end up in the hands of the ones that truly appreciate the art
