May Giveaway Day

Everyone join in, this should be FUN. I missed out on the last one, don't intend to miss out on this one too. I am giving away some of my wool stash, possibly some hand dyed, possibly a little kit. Don't want anyone to be disappointed, these are a few of my hand dyed wools, I have some solids and some tweeds too, whatever I decide it will be nice I promise. This is wool out of my personal stash.
I will pick the winner by the person who has the most creative answer to "What will you do with the wool" I am Not looking for the answer "use it in an applique project"

This time around I think I will just mail with in the USA (Sorry Int'l bloogers), this is my first time, and I want to see how it goes. If it goes well, I will make sure do ship int'l next time around.

I will pick the winner on May 31st and ship my little gift by June 3rd, probably sooner.

Have FUN!!!!!!!!!! BE CREATIVE and come up with a plan.

I am new to working with wool. So far, I have been making felt balls. I start with raw fleece. I pick, wash/rinse and dye it. I has been interesting and fun to see the results. If this wool is feltable, I'll probably do a felting project with it. I really like the way you have dyed the wool.

I'm just starting out using wool. Right now I am working on Christmas ornaments. For some gorgeous hand dyed wool I think I would want to make a brooch with bead work on it. Either way it needs to be showcased!

I've been looking for wool to make 2 different projects: a quiet activity book for my girls and also to use for making a story out of pictures (used on shirts or to hang on the wall). Mainly though, I want to make a quiet book.

There are pictures of both of us sewing together and of our projects on my blog. Further down in previous posts, I also have pictures of my family, mom, dad, 15 month brother and other brother and sister. We homeschool.

I am going to make wool soakers for over my cloth diapers, and with the extras I'm going to make juggling balls for my husband after I felt the wool.

I'll also accumulate a ton of static electricity and shock my husband, because It always happens even if its an accident!

I would love to make hats -- a girly one with wool flowers or a beanie for my little guy.

I also like to do framed monograms -- the wool is the letter stitched on to some other fabric and then embellished with other shapes -- birds or whatever -- all put into a frame.

I would do about a million things. This is my "thing" now. I'd use it to make waldorf toys. I might make a playscape, some little gnomes, a fairy. I am totally obsessed with wet felting and needle felting. I've only had raw wool without color and my dying did not turn out. I'd love to play with some color wool. Oh how I hope to win!!!

Those beautiful fabrics would be great to use in some of my machine embroidery designs. I have tons of applique designs and a cute little almost 2 yr old granddaughter to sew for. Wonderful prizes. Thank you for the chance to win them.

if i get one of the girly colored pieces, i will make something special for me - a bag or a cushion. something i can have a ball with adding embroidery and beads and crochet embellishments and such.
if i get a more manly piece, i would have to make slippers for my littlest boy. probably a earflap hat to match and mitties if i can stretch out the yardage! :)
thanks,
