Here are some of the things from my little suitcase last week, my photos never show up in the order I think they are going to so I won't try to explain what they are, but these were all a Christmas Present from My Parents a few years ago, my Mom knows I am crazy over this sort of stuff and these are all from my Grandma on my Mom's side. she was a seamstress in a small town in Wisconsin. There are more but these are some of my favorites that are in there. I can remember from the time I was little how much I loved playing with her buttons and fabric, she died when I was 16 and I never really got to quilt with her but I have all her buttons, all her handiwork (There is some hardanger in there too) but I wish I had more time to quilt with her. :) I still have all the doll clothes she made for my Barbie Dolls too. That second piece has the most gorgeous delicate embroidery on it. So wonderful that they belonged to your grandmother.
OH, what lovely linens. My grandmother made me barbie clothes too, but I gave them to my cousin in my teen years, I think one of my aunts still have them, but I wish I had those barbie clothes that my grandmother made back...I have asked for them, but so far no cigar.... :(

I think this is my favorite VTT week ever, so many beautiful vintage linens.
Those linens are wonderful - some of mine were embroidered by family members long gone, but others - I never knew who created them....

Special memories to go with the special linens and things...how nice! Would love to see the Barbie clothes she made! Also...I upload one picture at a time. It will always be at the top of the post. You can highlight the whole thing, it starts with 'A and ends with A ',(and there is one of these sings before and after the 'A', < and >) anyway, then right click on the highlighted part and selct/click on "cut" and it will disappear. Then go down into your post to where you want to insert it and click to get your cursor there and right click at that spot and select/click on "paste" and it re-appear...like magic. You can then choose preview and see if it is where you want it. Also, if you want more space or the words to flow above or below, then you should place the cursor at the end of the sentence where you want it to go and then hit "enter" and then right click and select paste...that should put right under the sentence. I usually type most all the post and then go back and insert the pictures one by one. It is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Wow..that was a lot of explaining...hope it helps and not confuse!LOL!

Really, really lovely linens Jeanne. And you are so, so lucky to have them. There wasn't much needlework in the home I grew up in, and it does feel strange to have this deep love of all things needle, but it's there and has been since before I was married.
